About Joel Staadecker

Joel Staadecker has spent over 35 years in the capacity of CEO and COO building businesses in a number of sectors including offshore wind energy, oil and gas, information technology, venture capital, and aviation. Mr. Staadecker co-founded SeaEnergy Resources in 2005 and subsequently SeaEnergy Renewables Limited (SeaEnergy) in 2008, and was responsible for developing the company’s Business Plan and strategy from inception. He served as CEO of SeaEnergy since the launch of the company together with the team responsible for the Beatrice Demonstration Wind Farm in June 2008. Mr. Staadecker managed the sale of SeaEnergy for cash in June 2011 to Repsol, one of Europe’s largest energy companies, at an enterprise value of GBP£50 million. Mr. Staadecker has accumulated extensive experience in launching and developing new start-up ventures through IPO on US and Canadian markets. He worked in the venture capital industry for several years and has been responsible for identifying target technologies that were successfully financed and developed. His experience includes having founded Allegaint Technologies, Inc, an award-winning publisher of software for developing multi-media applications. In the oil and gas sector Mr. Staadecker participated in the senior management of Weatherford International, one of the world’s largest oil and gas service companies, and served as President of Hawk Industries, a manufacturer of power equipment for the running, handling and testing of oilfield tubulars. Mr. Staadecker has also worked extensively in corporate advisory roles with emerging growth companies in the areas of strategy, corporate finance and marketing. Mr. Staadecker’s early career training was in flight engineering, he served in the United States Air Force, and worked as a commercial airline pilot.
