About Joel Stewart

When I was 10 I had my first job running blueprints for my father in the basement of my family’s home. In life, and business, starting at the bottom taught me that hard work pays off, and buys you a new bike when you want it. It also taught me that when you are offered an opportunity to rise up you grab the ladder with both hands and keep on climbing. I’ve come a long way since that basement and discovered a love of residential and commercial design. The complex, technical aspects of design are fascinating to me. It’s like a massive puzzle, balancing construct-ability and value with an edgy WOW factor, but the thing I’ve always loved about design is that it’s all a grand scheme of ideas centered around people. Ideas about how we live, gather, grow and play.
