I’m a UK-qualified lawyer based in Tokyo, advising on cross-border finance, commercial and TMT matters involving Japan, the UK and international markets. My work includes complex contractual, regulatory and structuring issues, often in multi-jurisdictional transactions involving international counterparties. Alongside this, I’m increasingly focused on the intersection of sports, business and governance, particularly where clubs, leagues, sponsors and investors engage with the Japanese market. I have a strong interest in the financial and commercial structures underpinning sport, including ownership and investment models, sponsorship and revenue arrangements, regulatory frameworks and cross-border expansion.
