About Joel Vanbrocklin

Through more than two decades of experience, I have developed a deep and robust skillset, having honed my skills across a diverse range of industries including digital advertising, web development, project management and multimedia production. I’m very organized and a very quick learner. Anything I don’t know I figure out in a relatively short amount of time. For instance, as a Business Account Manager for VoxMD, I had to learn not only how to manage large marketing budgets but also how to handle the logistics of a multi-prong digital advertising campaign – from the creation of digital assets to the implementation of advertising components, from beginning to end – all while learning and navigating complicated laws and restrictions within the medical device industry. I had to do this on the job within a few weeks, and by the time I was fully responsible for large national campaigns, I knew enough to keep projects on time and on task, as well as within budget, with exemplary return on investment. In many things I am a self-starter. I’ve taught myself how to play instruments, record music, film and edit video and to design and implement full digital marketing campaigns – both for clients and (as an aspiring entertainer and influencer) for myself. Most of my previous full-time and freelance experience – particularly over the last decade – has required me to multi-task. In fact, I often work better in a multitasking environment – it keeps me moving and helps me get things done. My additional film and video production work – from such positions as 1st and 2nd Assistant Director to Production Coordinator; from Production Assistant to Electric Department; from Writer to Digital Information Tech - show that I have experience with managing people, keeping things organized and understanding the logistics of a large project from beginning to end. I also have learned that I tend to work better when I can see and manage the whole picture. I love having a set of resources with which to get a project done on time and on task. It's like solving a puzzle – I feel I have a keen sense of understanding where my given resources will perform best to the benefit of the whole. I work well with a team, love being creative, and know how to implement logistical strategies for the benefit of all involved. I feel I have a great attitude, a can-do spirit and a very diverse background that would make me a very versatile and valuable asset to any team.
