Background
About Joel Yu
As the Senior Vice President of Policy & External Affairs at Enchanted Rock, I lead the charge in translating complex regulatory frameworks into commercial success. My focus is on shaping the environment for the nation's premier resiliency microgrid developer, driving advocacy that ensures grid reliability, energy affordability, and sustainable load growth at both state and federal levels. My approach to policy is grounded in deep operational and commercial reality. Prior to joining Enchanted Rock, I spent over a decade at ConEdison, where I gained hands-on experience managing underground network construction and operations before transitioning to the policy team. This dual background—understanding both the "pipes and wires" and the regulations—allows me to influence critical industry dialogues on wholesale market design, system planning, and load growth with practical authority.
