About Joellen Schell

I have over 25 years experience in retail and sales management. I started out my retail journey in 1989 in Toledo Ohio working as a retail department manager. Then moved on to the CPG world while working with SC Johnson Wax and Gerber Baby Products. I left the direct team world and entered into the brokerage business, I was employed by CE Stehauher calling on Meijer and Kroger. After a brief time away starting a family, I decided to chase my own entrepreneur goal. While pregnant with my son I wrote the business plan for my salon, In and opened JoEllen's Unique Salon Services. I am a Licenced Managing Cosmetologist in the State of Ohio. In 2003 I decided to sell my business and enter back into the sales world.I tried something slightly different, in 2003 I went to work for Valvoline and Jiffy Lube as a Fleet Sales Manager/ Customer Service. I built an fleet business and generated incentive programs for the employees to motivate them to provide excellent customer service. 2006 I went to work for Kraft Foods as a merchandiser then promoted to Territory Sales Manager, calling on Kroger, Meijer, and Walmart selling Nabisco Snacks. 2009 my family and I moved to Florida and took a position with Roll Services(Wonderful Pistachios) as a Merchandiser, with future hopes of becoming a territory manager. This was a great stepping stone for me to learn the area and Management at Publix and Winn Dixie as well as a variety of CPG manufacturers.In 2014 I met the owners of Kiolbassa Smoked Meats, a meat company from San Antonio Texas. I started as a Florida Territory Manager calling on Publix. I built a retail and demo team that started first in the SE and then grew to the NE. Eventually we had retail teams all over the US. I have been a member on several committees. I am Holt Cat trained in "Values Based Leaderships". I have attended Kiolbassa Business Leadership classes built around a culture of family values. I have also had the opportunity to learned and practice The Great Game of Business which is a financial culture. I have learned the art of managing, growing and directing teams using values and financial goals.
