About Joeri Arion

As a cultural being, a Caribbean and trained as an anthropologist, I’ve professionally formed my intrinsic interest for identity and nation building processes, with a special concern for cultural heritage.I cherish the universal value of cultural freedom and place it first in everything I do. My orientation within this (general) view is focused on the idea that culture is the product of ones efforts of understanding the world in which one is situated.I see it as my task to support others in guaranteeing their cultural freedom in the ongoing process of nation building. Furthermore, I see myself as a guardian / promoter of the pluriformity that characterizes our Caribbean communities and make up its often fragile unities.My ambition as a cultural anthropologist, researcher and former policy advisor is to enable a platform which serves as a cultural breeding ground where people can develop their talents. I hope to perform a catalyst function in this regard for safeguarding, promotion and exhibiting of Caribbean cultural heritage.
