Background

About Joey Barten

I am a technology consultant and leader with experience across public transport, tourism, insurance, construction, and health domains. I have always excelled in communication and being the bridge between technology and business. For the past 3 years, I have worked as a tech lead and project manager, managing both backend and frontend projects. My dominant expertise is in C# development (ASP.NET Core, EF Core, ADO.NET, MAUI, Blazor, NUnit) and cloud & DevOps (Azure SDK, Azure Identity, Azure Graph, BICEP, YAML, DevOps API). Additionally, I am experienced in process orchestration and asynchronous programming, applying them to design scalable and reliable solutions. I am the architect and main author of the Orbyss platform, which enables small to medium businesses to launch fully customized, bootstrapped mobile apps in days instead of weeks/months. The Orbyss platform automates app and API deployment, authorization, configuration, and version management, allowing teams to focus on design and delivery rather than infrastructure.During the design and development of the Orbyss platform, I decided to share some of its functionality with the world. Hence, I started several open source projects. You can find them here: https://github.com/orbyss-io
