About Joey Boyer

Originally from Prescott, Arizona, coming to Washington, D.C. allowed me to pursue my education while studying at The George Washington University, alongside professional goals of working in highly respected research, government, and non-profit institutions. I’ve been lucky enough to have international travel experiences throughout my life, which developed my intercultural and interpersonal skills and opened my perspective to a global level from a very young age. This has nurtured a lifelong goal of mine to contribute in a way that betters the global community and, as a global citizen, I am driven to further this goal. My professional and personal background has taught me the skills needed to succeed and excel in this field. These include a wide range of international experiences, familiarity with working in a professional office setting, understanding of international development contexts, and a natural ability for administrative and logistical support. I am particularly skilled in producing research and reports, proposal writing and tracking, accounting and financial management, and both internal and external communications. Additionally, I have Arabic and Spanish language skills as well as extensive competence with computer hardware, software, and Internet programs and telecommunications. I am naturally highly organized, detail oriented, time-sensitive, and have the proven ability to handle sensitive information; I treat my career with the utmost respect and professionalism. I am a passionate and committed employee and will eagerly cooperate as a team member or efficiently manage myself when working alone. My ultimate goal is to contribute and work with others to make an impact on a greater level. I am especially considerate of my charisma and open-minded discourse regardless of outlook or political persuasion; I truly believe that every person has something important to contribute to the global dialogue.
