I am an experienced bilingual Property Claims Unit Manager currently working at Travelers Insurance in Houston, Texas since 2022. In my role, I have been responsible for hiring, training, and developing new employees to handle low to mid severity claims. Additionally, I have led a team of both inside and outside property adjusters, managing both virtual and physical inspections for claims. To foster a cohesive unit and build strong relationships within the teams, I have created and developed various events. I also served as the Property learning liaison, ensuring that training was conducted according to Travelers Standards and developed training materials and schedules to meet product deadlines. Recognizing the importance of an inclusive culture, I have taken the lead in the Hispanic Latino diversity Network to create an inclusive environment within the Western Gulf Claim Center. Moreover, I have successfully built an inside claims unit that became the office leader in technology usage, same day closures, quality file reviews, and electronic payments. Prior to my current role, I worked as a Catastrophe Senior Claims Professional at Travelers Insurance in Hartford, Connecticut from 2011 to 2022. During this time, I specialized in investigating, evaluating, estimating, and negotiating first-party property claims of moderate to severe complexity, specifically related to Personal and Business Insurance policies in catastrophic situations. I was adept at adapting quickly to stressful environments and making necessary changes as directed by leadership during deployment periods. In addition to my investigative responsibilities, I collaborated with business partners to ensure optimal resolution through effective investigation, scoping, and estimating. I also conducted coverage analysis for losses sustained during catastrophic events by reviewing personal and commercial insurance policies. Throughout my tenure, I consistently delivered exceptional customer service, receiving recognition from our partners for fulfilling our promise. As a property insurance claims manager, I possess a strong background in managing claims operations, developing teams, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
