Personal Background I am a ex-teacher and ex-pastor (Dominee) of the Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa. I am currently a Interior Designer, working for Design Central, Certified Life-Coach, Neethling Brain Institute Practitioner, Spiritual Director, Presenter of Online Spiritual Discipleship sessions. Introduction August 2021 Although everything and more in my biography are true, much have changed due to Covid-19. I am not traveling anymore or seldom. Am not a public speaker anymore, or seldom. I work from home, sessions are via online platforms and whatsapp calls. Weird! One other change was me registering for a course in interior design. At my age? A new possibility? Maybe a new career or extra career? Who would have foreseen this? In these current times we need to adapt and ask new questions according to our personal circumstances and we need fresh ideas and applications. All I can offer is coaching, counseling and Spiritual direction due to experience gained through studies, but more from good and bad experiences and lessons learnt. Short biography I was born in Benoni in 1961 and was raised in Vereeniging in a parsonage. I was in Handhawer Primary School and matriculated from the Highschool Vereeniging. After matric, I studied education and psychology at, which was then known as P.U. for C.H.O.(PUKKE). In 1983, I got married to Hannalie and two wonderful children were born from our marriage. Both children are now married to great partners and have wonderful careers. After six years of being a teacher, I resigned and moved to Stellenbosch, where I completed a B.Th. degree at the University of Stellenbosch. After these studies, I moved North and was appointed as Reverend at the DRC (NG) Elarduspark in the East of Pretoria, where I was a pastor for 13 years. In this time I also completed the M.Th. degree (Christian Spirituality) and D.Div degree (Practical Theology and Messianic studies). I resigned as minister at the end of April 2008 and continued to minister through retreats, music ministry, prayer, and other seminars and Daniel Men’s conferences and many others. I also had joined Jericho Walls International Prayer Network in 2013 until 2016. After this I founded Desireknowledge.com in May 2019 and am Pastoring Ecclesia Agape Faith Community since 2018 although the pandemic stopped our house gatherings. I closing Now, the only things left are beautiful memories and friendships and a new future, God willing! I hope my life will still touch others with much grace.
