About Johan Dahlgren

With over 10 years of work experience in data, standards, and management systems, I am the Head of Data Models & Standards at GS1 Sweden, a global organization that develops and maintains the most widely used supply chain standards in the world. In this role, I lead the development and implementation of data models and standards for various sectors and industries, ensuring conformity assessment and compliance with international and national regulations and best practices. I also collaborate with other GS1 offices, stakeholders, and partners to promote and harmonize data and standards across different markets and regions. Previously, I was the Section Manager at SIS, Swedish Standards Institute, where I managed a team of experts and consultants in the field of information technology and management systems. I oversaw the delivery of projects and services related to standards development, certification, training, and advisory for various clients and sectors. I also acted as the Section Manager for the Material and Process Industry section for two months, where I supported the strategic and operational planning and execution of the section's activities and goals. I have a Master of Science degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Mid Sweden University, and I possess strong skills in conformity assessment, standards compliance, and management systems. I am passionate about data and standards, and how they can enable innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the supply chain and beyond. I am also motivated by the mission and vision of GS1 Sweden, which is to empower organizations to create value and make a positive difference for the people, businesses, and communities they serve. I am eager to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and to contribute to the data and standards transformation at GS1 Sweden.
