About Johan Dries

I’m proud to work in a diverse Innovation department together with clinical scientists, Key Opinion Leaders and various research institutes in- and outside Philips. It is exciting to perform innovations in the field of Surgical Navigation, targeting new customers performing a large diversity of applications. As a member of the Mechatronics Contact Group and by participating at the DSPE conferences I stay up-to-date on the newest high-tech developments and applications within the Netherlands. A list of 25 Invention Disclosures of which 11 yielded actual patents is a natural continuation of my youth where I created lots of motorized stuff with LEGO. The creation of a perpetuum mobile unfortunately failed! I’ve coached a PhD student in the field of accurate machine pose estimations. Part of the work was published in the renowned Medical Physics journal.
