About Johan Klut

One of the best things of working for over 33 years in the information technology space, is the experiences one gathers. Having gained those experiences at Liberty for 13 years and then for the last 20 years, as a strategy and digital advisor at Microsoft, I have engaged with over 26 different organisations in Africa, mostly in South Africa, driving successful digital transformation work in financial services. I am recognized by the teams I work with for my ability to bring new ideas to the table, provide clarity to a complex set of problems, to architect a journey to a winning state and to build, motivate and empower team members. Regardless of how you want to cut it, it all comes back to people, and that is where the meaning of the experiences lie. Im currently a contracting Associate at BSG, a business transformation consultancy firm as well as a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, teaching honors students on IT aspects of knowledge management and the role of AI, platforms and eco systems. I'm also finding that I am spending more time on digital transformation coaching and mentoring to those who reach out and whom I have built a great working relationship. On a personal level I love open spaces and nature, enjoying new experiences, loving the South African people diversity, connecting with good friends and try to make a meaningful difference wherever I go.
