About Johan Strand

As a Full Stack Engineer I've found a place where my love for tech and need for creativity can both live under the same roof. My maxim is to "always be learning". I have a solid foundation in JavaScript, Go, PHP and Elm. I am comfortable with Docker, and have used what feels like half a dozen cloud providers including AWS, fly.io, do and vercel. In short, I am comfortable with my ability to get up to speed with most tech stacks. My latest Tech-Obsession is the BEAM and relevant languages.(the BEAM has amazing potential for robust and complete IT environments without complicated Ops etc. On the BEAM, full stack can include multi-node, multi-regional, scaling, fully interconnected, AI-enabled, distributed Systems, almost exclusively built and maintained in a single language (like Elixir).)My latest Problem-Obsession how to know what data is relevant, how to collect it and how to display it in a way that builds intuition. I'm definitely not the first person pondering these problems. My journey as a developer picked up when I and 30 other students were handpicked out of 1500 applicants for the 2020 fall bootcamp. My love for and interest in tech however, is life long!jst.devgithub.com/johan-st
