About John A Ashbaugh

The focus of my extensive career has been in customer and client services, in addition to billing. Customers find me pleasant and responsive to their needs, which is why I am frequently complimented and personally requested. I take pride in knowing that my clients feel valued because I am more than willing to address any questions they have in an efficient manner. While anyone who knows me can tell you how important I take my work in regards to helping customers, most are surprised that I also love being part of billing. Most people think of billing as a behind-the-scenes position, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There is a great deal of interaction, plus, just like with customer service, I love investigating issues, pinpointing the core problem, and determining the right course of action to resolve it. It makes my day when problems get fixed and I help others out of difficult situations, whether they be internal or external customers. Because I love to problem solve and my main goal in life is to be helpful, I have built a reputation as the go-to “fixer” internally. For example, while I was in billing, I rotated across our 7 regions fixing complex billing issues that needed attention. I am also big on continuous improvement and am frequently asked to participated in special projects, such as beta testing a new system for IT. While I have been in the medical industry for most of my career, my love for what I do can easily translate to any other industry. Other things to know about me: I love to travel and experience new places as a local (vs. a tourist); I go where they go and do that they do. I enjoy cooking and creating new recipes from multiple ones I find. I take what I like from each and discard what I don't, I call this "Frankensteining" a recipe. I have even had a recipe published in a local Tacoma, Washington newspaper. I also am fascinated by science and am especially obsessive in learning about the universe.
