Volunteer: I am proud that my original concept of awarding high school students for their performances in stage productions was developed into "The Freddy Awards" at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton, Pennsylvania. During my 10+ years as a volunteer as Manager of Volunteer Services with the State Theatre, as well as, my involvement with community theater, I came to realize a great amount of work was going into high school stage productions and not being recognized. I discussed this with the Executive Director, who thought it was a fabulous idea. It was from my original concept that "The Freddy Awards" was developed and continues to exist today.
