Because you are a person, not a file! When I founded Adamson & Associates Inc. in 1996 I wanted to create a unique environment where people and businesses requiring insolvency related services could meet directly with a fully qualified professional, in a relaxed yet still professional setting. I wanted to create an environment that wasn't "stuffy" so I threw away the jacket and tie. Then instead of going into the market place seeking experienced staff, I hired staff and trained staff from scratch. It wasn't the easiest way to build a practice, however I have always been very hands on and involved person so I knew it was doable. But more importantly, it was crucial to my vision. I am a people person. Regardless of what the issue is or how difficult it may be, I enjoy helping people. It was important to me and still is, that our people agree and promote my commitment and dedication to finding ways to continually raise the bar, both on quality of service and level of service. I also knew that this couldn't happen unless I found like minded people, and then create a work environment that is fun. Having come up through the accounting profession it was important to deviate from what once was the norm and create an environment that fostered a "thinking outside the box" approach. Today, personalized service is evident everywhere in our practice. I am backed by a great team of qualified people, Our work environment puts the needs of the people we help before timesheets, billable hours, recovery rates, thousand dollar suits, etc. While some of those issues are important, what is more important is people.
