About John Aston

My background in real estate development and airport management provide a great basis for projects benefitting from the skills I've gained from these past experiences.I have developed real estate including commercial land parcels, bareland and building form residential condominiums, affordable housing units, commercial properties including retail and office units, aviation related properties and a variety of projects for non-profits. My airport management experience provided a broad basis of experiences including; capital program management, creation of an airport asset database and asset management process, project management for civil and building projects, negotiation of airport leases, management of an airport permitting program and airport master planning, and an airport area land-use planning collaboration to coordinate development in areas around the airport. I value my participation in a leadership role with the Canadian Airport Council, Planning, Development and Infrastructure Committee for several years, and developed relationships with colleagues across the country from that opportunity.My education in the Diploma of Architectural Engineering Technology program and the Diploma in Urban Land Economics program afforded me excellent skills to develop my career and prove valuable in applying to future opportunities as well.
