About John Bauer

My passion as an educator is to ensure all students are actively engaged in their learning and develop a love for learning in a safe responsive community. My 27 years of teaching have developed into leadership skills that have contributed to successful experiences with my students, grade teams, school leadership team and district level committees and leadership roles. By fostering trusting relationships, modeling reflective practice focused on growth, and building shared leadership through collaboration, I have found success in all of my roles as an educator. I found my best decisions in working with my teams, committees and students, have been driven by analyzing data in an equitable lens. This data, when used to form decisions on instruction, goals and improvement has made me succeed and attain goals set forth at my grade, PLC, school and district levels. My professional experiences include teaching middle school and high school special education, general education teacher grades 2 - 5, Literacy Specialist, Literacy Coach and Title I Lead. I also provide professional development in my roles as Literacy Specialist and Title I Lead.
