About John Bauernfeind

I hold an MA in Menswear from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design and a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. I am an experienced fashion design educator with over eighteen years of university experience on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. My academic background across four art and design universities; Parsons School of Design, California College of the Arts, Academy of Art University, and the Savannah College of Art consists of full-time teaching focused on creative pedagogy and leadership roles led by progressive curricula. Both my teaching and academic leadership centers learning around design innovation, inclusivity, sustainability, and fashion systems. Additionally, I bring Industry expertise from my professional background which includes over seventeen years of international experience in menswear and womenswear as a fashion forecaster, fashion illustrator, product development/merchandiser, and designer from both local and global manufacturing.
