About John Bernabei

John Bernabei is a Principal and Managing Director at Robertson Stephens Wealth Management (RS), a $7B wealth advisory RIA. John joined the firm in March 2020 as his firm, Vine Street Wealth Management was acquired by RS to get the scale and resources of a larger firm yet be able to service clients as a boutique. Prior to RS, John was a founding partner of Vine Street Wealth Management a registered investment advisory firm in Mill Valley, California. Vine Street managed separate accounts for families and institutions. In May, 2017 John was a founding partner of Seaplane Partners, LLC a asset management firm focused on value investing. Prior to Vine Street and Seaplane, John had a successful 22 year institutional equity sales career advising clients on US and Asian equities and managing the offices at several wall street firms. Prior to joining wall street, he was a sales engineer & account manager for several large industrial companies. John received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan State University and his MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. He is active in most outdoor activities including skiing, mountain biking, hiking, golf and bocce, and also enjoys yoga and fitness classes, and is always game to try something new!
