About John Bertini

I am a software engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors. I have worked on a variety of projects involving various technologies, including C#, JavaScript.NET, Python, PL/SQL, ArcGIS, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. In my previous position, I was a full-time Software Engineer at UNLV's Transportation Research Center. Responsibilities include developing custom integrations between different enterprise software packages using JavaScript, Python, and PL/SQL, developing business intelligence dashboards and analysis, managing interns and developing customized geometry and mapping solutions using SQL and the ArcGIS JavaScript API. Previously, I have worked on software packages written in.NET, including software maintenance, updates, and schema design in MS SQL. I also have prior experience in mobile app development. I am passionate about software development, and at my happiest when I am exploring new ground and creating novel solutions to problems through software. I enjoy considering the needs of users and colleagues from a variety of angles to find non-trivial solutions. I have a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
