About John Bitar

John Bitar graduated from the University of Southern California in 1996, with a degree in Political Science. He earned his JD in from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school John was a staff writer for Law Review and interned at Carroll Burdick McDonough. His education also included an externship with the Office of the Governor of California and a judicial clerkship with the Van Nuys Superior Court. Immediately after graduating from law school and passing the bar, John was propositioned by a Silicon Valley technology company, where he spent his time working for his employer in both a pre/post IPO environment. During this time, John utilized and further developed his skills with global services, negotiations, compliance/policy development, technical writing and policy implementation. Thereafter, an Orange County law firm lured John away from Silicon Valley to use his well developed business and negotiation skills for the benefit of their Workers’ Compensation Defense clients. Initially, John worked exclusively with large self-insured businesses to address the high cost of injured workers. With California's Workers’ Compensation changes in 2004, John broadened his client focus and has built a practice niche designed for self insured clients. His experience in successfully negotiating and litigating cases on behalf of his clients is well recognized. As a lifelong entrepreneur, John grew up in his family's French Bakery business and successfully transitioned the individual locations to third parties over the last five years. He has operated as an international importer and exporter of high demand textiles. He also holds an electrical process patent for energy conservation and consults for several small businesses on management, operations and cost controls. Now, John is able to draw on his broad business experience to bring creative preemptive litigation strategies for his clients’ benefit.
