About John Boen

I have cultivated a life-long attitude of learning, and apply this to all I do. This allows me take seemingly dissimilar knowledge from one field, and apply it to problem solving within another. Over the past five years, I have read on average a book a week; I am a well-rounded person with a range of interests that extend beyond beyond traditional database engineering skills.* More than two dozen years working with data to perform data analysis, implementing new functionality with existing applications, and designing new features to support future business goals.* A passion for quality since the early 90s when I worked with Total Quality Management approaches, through Six Sigma, on into Agile, and beyond; I view the world through this lens, and as a result I appreciate Continuous Integration, teams of peers, SCRUM, and related strategies.* I am happy to share my ideas, to brainstorm and critique, and truly do enjoy mentoring others.
