About John Bonney

Currently overseeing the South and Central Texas office for one of the nation's leading and largest builders W.G.Yates & Sons Construction, John Bonney is graduate of the Architectural School of The University of New Mexico, has over 23 years experience in the construction industry. His experience encompasses all aspects of the construction process including estimating, contract preparation, permitting, scheduling, creating project manuals and managing and directing all phases of project workflow from initial project conception to final closeout. Early in his career, John started out as a carpenter and later was a Project Manager on a wide range of building types and sizes including offices, industrial and manufacturing facilities, retail facilities and financial institutions. John joined Reid & Associates, LLC in 2003 as a Project Manager. In 2008, he was promoted to Senior Project Manager and eventually was promoted to Vice- President of Construction and oversaw all construction and estimating for Reid & Associates. In 2014 John moved to San Antonio to start Reid & Associates of Texas, LLC. In 2018 John helped usher the successful acquisition of Reid & Associates by HB Construction to lead the Central Texas Office for HB Construction. In 2019 John had the opportunity to lead the Central and South Texas division office for Yates Construction. Since 2019 John has overseen Yates' growth to one of the largest and reputable companies doing the most high profile projects in the area.
