About John Boston

I grew up in a concrete jungle. Traffic lights, suburban households, and train rides to the city have always been an important part of my life, but I was lucky. I got the best of both worlds. My family has a farm; that’s where I learned to grow, fix, and work. It’s given me a unique perspective, a look into both sides of the world. I graduated from Penn State with a degree in agricultural systems management and minors in entrepreneurship and off-road equipment. Two summers of internship work taught me how to optimize feed-mill efficiency and fix combines during the harvest. Following graduation, I packed my bags and moved to South Dakota to work for Dow AgroSciences. I do my best to make the most of my time and I continue to live everyday looking for new opportunities and experiences. A natural extrovert, I enjoy working in social environments helping people solve problems. Timely, organized, and analytical; complex projects and hard deadlines have never scared me. Recently I've packed my bags again to return east, where the disparity between rural and urban environments is greater and I can use my unique perspective on both to bring the two closer together.
