About John Broadbent

Former M&A analyst with experience in financial and strategic due diligence, running deal processes and workflows, financial modeling, and advising on target companies. Now a corporate attorney, licensed in the great State of Colorado, with experience across the lifecycle of buy-side and sell-side M&A, including drafting primary and ancillary agreements, conducting legal due diligence reviews, and miscellaneous contract editing. Federal government relations practice includes drafting and editing regulatory comment letters, summarizing bills, and tax policy research into various issues. Pro bono practice includes disability rights, civil rights, and formation of nonprofit organizations along with the corporate issues associated with them. I am a TEDx alum and give speeches about the importance of welcoming and including disabled people into our society. These speeches often discuss my life experience overcoming significant physical disabilities. Aside from my corporate practice, my interests in the law include civil rights, international law, tax policy, and criminal law. Outside of the law, I read up on history, international diplomacy, American politics, and economics. I also love geography and am passionate about college football/college basketball. Outside, I am a classic Colorado tree-hugger who enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking, and simply being in nature as often as possible.
