About John Burgoon
After many years of managing Dining Services in healthcare facilities, I made the switch to Higher Education in 2019. It was a challenging transition and I learned many new skills, working in a much larger and more fast-paced environment. However, in 2023, I decided to return to Health Care. I missed the environment of working with the senior population, and I was given an opportunity to learn new aspects of the business. A new hybrid manager position was created where I would be responsible for the overall management of the Dining Services department, using my past experience in that role, while also taking on the role of Business Office Manager, where I could learn the Business and Human Resources aspects of an Assisted Living company and gain valuable experience in a role I am looking to grow in.
