About John Burnette

John has 26 years of proven Information Technology experience in a wide range of technologies and skillsets, much gained in the Healthcare and Payment Services arenas within the Middle Tennessee community. While holding multiple professional certifications and attending project management and database technology training during this time, his skills in the Microsoft family of products have been used at several Fortune 500 companies to facilitate an effective match of business and technology project results using SQL Server as a transactional and reporting database platform. Having flexibility as both a technical and managerial resource and being able to bridge the gap between technology and business units gives him an edge to deliver quality results in a timely manner while managing project expectations accordingly. Since many of his company work endeavors were initiated from a consulting engagement, he is very comfortable servicing technology requests from either a FTE or project consultant role. A summary of roles he has filled are centered around IT technology operations such as data center management, storage/SAN management, SQL database administration/tuning/migration, data replication, disaster recovery planning and implementation, and operational monitoring. He also has worked in data analytics and business intelligence reporting, specializing in Healthcare executive reporting and regulatory compliance. John was selected as a finalist for the Red-Gate Global Exceptional DBA of 2010 award and he has served as a local chapter officer in recent years for the Nashville Project Management Institute and currently holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation received in 2003.
