About John Caldwell
I have spent most of my career in the environmental business. Making connections, developing new products and approaches, and finding new ways to get work done. I have been making relationships in the regulated community for over 20 years with much of it working on ways to develop new solutions. I started off creating a firm (Environment Newsmagazines) to publish state-specific (New England states as well as the Mid-Atlantic states) environmental magazines that updated the readers of regulatory changes, new technologies and other relevant, breaking information. We sold the company in I used the relationships I developed over the years in publishing to co-found EnviroBids.com - a web-based environmental bid opportunity portal; subscribers receive an email daily with bid opportunities along with the bid specs and the date for submittal. The service has become a staple in the environmental consulting world. We sold the Company in 2010. I was a co-founder of EnviroXchange.com –a clearing house for the regulated community for "off-spec" and surplus items. The company offered larger businesses the opportunity to create a private collaborative network. Large clients like United Technologies Corporation used the private network to list, share and recover value for proprietary material to "in network" sister companies. We sold this company in 2001. My role in founding these companies gave me great access and the ability to develop personal relationships with public and private clients, environmental attorneys, regulators, and environmental service providers. I maintain these relationships today. I am a relationship sales person. With unbridled access to both the regulated community and service providers I have been able to create and maintain relationships around the country. I have learned that people that trust you expect you to keep your promises – and that is what my relationships are built on: trust. I stay connected to the client, the project/assignment, and the outcomes. Clients know I am there to make sure they get what they need. This dedication and out-of-the-box thinking has deepened and maintained the relationships over time. It is why my clients follow me.
