I worked as the features editor at The Arab News in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1977 to 1980. At the same time, I was a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Herald Tribune, The Asian Wall Street Journal, and the Boston Globe. After law school, I joined LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & Macrae for two years, and then Carter Ledyard & Milburn, also for two years. At American Lawyer Media, I was the editor of both Corporate Control Alert and Corporate Counsel Magazine for ten years. In 1998, I founded The M&A Journal, which I continue to write, edit, and publish. In 2013, Palgrave Macmillan published my book, A Giant Cow Tipping by Savages, which was praised by The Wall Street Journal and the Economist, among others. I have two journalism awards, one presented in Washington, D.C, and the second in Paris.
