About John Colclough

I have a strong background in Hospitality and work based learning, as well accredited qualifications. Within work based learning and apprenticeships I'm heavily involved with levy and non-levy employers, giving support, advice and guidance, and helping allocate funds for training. I have a great deal of engagement with apprentices ensuring that they are given full details of their learner journey, and explained the apprenticeship framework, and mapped out possible progression route. I have always had a strong belief that people buy from people, therefore I thrive off face to face engagement with clients/employer. Keeping current clients up to date with a regular communication chain, and developing new relationships with employers ensures we deliver quality service/training. It gives me a real buzz seeing people progress; this is why I work in work based learning, I have seen a great number of apprentices develop and progress. Finding a career path when you’re young is challenging, I know it was for me. So giving people an opportunity to start a journey, and give them support and guidance is extremely rewarding.
