I am a Chartered Engineer with over 42 years’ experience in transport infrastructure projects including 20 years’ experience in project management. My experience covers the management, technical audit and design of all aspects of highway infrastructure, multi modal network design and integration, traffic management and traffic engineering projects. Project Management experience includes o tender review, o contract management, o prepare project quality plan, development of project management plan, communications plan, planning for delivery, financial plan and programme development, o monthly reports showing; planned v actual progress, contract amendments, forward plan o KPI development and monthly completion using self-completion, o Stakeholder engagement and NOC plan and programme, o Risk assessment o Ensure that the NOC plan and programme is updated in the monthly report. Planning and Design o highway planning and design, o temporary traffic management plans, diversion routes and phasing, o traffic engineering and development impacts, o major intersection design, o transport planning, area wide traffic management, major sporting event planning and operational appraisals o public transport network design, that include bus priority measures, the design of light rail transit (LRT), bus rapid transit (BRT) networks, and rail planning. Feasibility, Review and Evaluation o accident analysis and road safety audits; o feasibility, design, and implementation of priority networks including the development of plans that allow for vehicle / pedestrian shared use o Transport model output KPIs, scheme evaluation o Multi criteria Assessments and Evaluation Frameworks. My experience has enabled me to gain a high level of technical knowledge and skill from policy and strategy development through feasibility, design, and audit processes to ultimate implementation and project management of individual and master planned multi-disciplinary projects. International experience includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Malaysia, UK, Ireland and the Philippines. Experience in giving expert witness advice at a series of public inquiries and also to parliamentary bill committees, undertaking design projects and traffic scheme appraisals on behalf of major institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.
