Currently I have dual roles at MilliporeSigma - Portal Content Administrator for the intranet and Analyst for the Notes-to-Google application migration team. As portal content administrator, I help maintain the corporate intranet, SIAL Today, by keeping links up to date, adding/deleting links as needed, creating simple web pages to facilitate information and ease of use, working with Corporate Communications to publish news, updated links, pictures, and announcements on a weekly basis, and I perform testing on the various platforms (desktop, mobile, development and production) of SIAL Today for the portal development team. As an analyst for the application migration team, I work with business owners to create specifications for legacy applications to be migrated to Google Apps, advise on UI design and functionality, serve as liaison between the business and the app developers, and help migrate complex data from the old platforms to the new.
