About John Conant

John is a self-starting leader of high performing teams and team members. He sets high standards for values, business ethics, as well as customer delivery, employee satisfaction and safety. John is a servant leader and he uses that to coach and motivate his team members to take ownership of issues, while he supports, educates and empowers them to make the proper decisions for customers and the business. John's door, and more importantly, his ears and mind, are always open to input and feedback from his team members. Since the end of John's military service, he has excelled in roles in and around Retail Management. He has begun roles at entry level positions and promoted his way up to being a valued manager and team leader in each. He has started a new District branch, developed training programs for equipment and process. John has managed both Grocery and Non-food departments in the retail grocery environment. He has excelled as a journeyman Union Carpenter, specializing in flooring installations. For the last 11 years, John has held Operational management roles and secured the position of General Manager, for the third largest Division for Empire Today LLC. and Luna Floors, the largest national in home sales company for installed flooring. During the four years as GM he was responsible for the $40M-$60M P&L, overseeing 100-150 associates across the Sales, Installation, Customer Service, Accounting, General Office and Warehouse departments. He has lead through change from Covid impacts to launching new EOS and Lean management processes. Under his leadership, his team was awarded 17 different awards from Vendor Sales awards, each year, to Installation Department MVP awards, safety recognition awards and in 2023 they were awarded the Market of the Year.
