About John Coners

My name is John Coners and I am a graduate from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in History-Social Sciences Secondary Education after the completion of a year-long student teaching internship in May of 2015. Although a Task Force Teacher and coach at Lockport Township High School, I am currently pursuing a full-time teaching career where I aspire to effectively contribute to making a positive difference for student learning and the educational system to my absolute fullest potential. In order to achieve this life-long ambition, I am seeking a long-term career opportunity as a secondary educator (preferably in the Greater Chicagoland Area) as I am perpetually open to new opportunities and experiences for growth and development. Licensed Endorsements/ Student Teaching Experience- Professional Development Schools Internship/Student Teacher at Manual Academy High School in Peoria Public Schools District 150 (August 2014-May 2015): World Geography, World History, and AVID courses - Professional Education License (PEL): IL Type 09 - Content-Specific Endorsement: Middle School and High School (Grades 6-12) Physical Education and all Social Sciences-History: Economics, Geography, Government, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and History (qualified to teach Advanced Placement History and Honors History)
