About John Conroy

John is a communications, marketing, business development, and corporate strategy leader with more than 25 years of expertise in media, entertainment, and technology. He has been instrumental in evolving BeBop Technology from start-up to foremost provider of virtual production solutions for media and entertainment, having led communications, marketing, and business development efforts since the company's founding. As a senior leader of the Los Angeles Times communications team for more than 8 years, John oversaw media relations for a 24-hour newsroom, and led campaigns for digital initiatives, product launches, and entertainment industry and consumer events including the annual Hero Complex Film Festival, Festival of Books, and Envelope Screening Series. As the award-winning director of music and digital entertainment for Rogers & Cowan John represented brands such as Napster and Microsoft, as well as developing extensive red-carpet talent and media relations experience with the Grammy Awards and Elton John Academy Awards Viewing Party. John has guest lectured on communications at the University of Southern California, written for marketing publications, video games, television, and is a critically-acclaimed playwright. He is well-versed in film, audio, and video production, photography and design, and music supervision, including two decades of experience as a DJ for private and corporate events. John is also a theatrical director, writer, and actor, with 20+ years of improvisation experience as a performer and teacher. The Government Training Agency leverages John's formidible acting and communications skills to provide law enforcement across the state of California with critical empathy and investigative training via intensive real-life scenarios. John holds a B.S. from the University of Virginia.
