When I was 19, I was asked to care for a distant relative who had fallen seriously ill and didn’t have any family nearby. I agreed—partly out of a sense of duty, partly because she lived in Hawaii. What I didn’t realize then was just how much that experience would shape me. Caring for someone at the end of their life involves a lot of quiet, routine tasks. But twice, just by being present, I was able to save her life. Before she passed, she rediscovered her faith and found joy again—and I got to be a small part of that. That experience taught me how powerful consistency can be. The ability to anticipate needs, show up reliably, and provide care—those are strengths I bring to every role. I work well with people from all walks of life, and I’m now looking for my next opportunity where I can continue to make a difference in a people-focused position.
