Background
About John Crocker
Hi there, I hope your day is going well! Read below for information on me. I have been described as having a bright personality while being maturely humble. I excel in rapidly learning concepts. I support helping others in diverse team environments. I appreciate organization, accountability and integrity. I constantly aim to improve my ability to communicate clearly. I believe in leading by example through honesty and transparency. I love helping others realize their potential. I aim to pay in forward with action. I have a passion for learning and keeping up with the cutting edge tools/technologies to drive high levels of quality throughout the entire product development lifecycle. I thrive off making a large impact and helping drive projects to a successful launch and beyond. I discovered my love for developing and designing video games while obtaining a B.S. at the University of California Santa Cruz. I was fortunate to work at Chronic Logic LLC as a software developer intern on their 2D rock climbing game CLIMB. On my senior game project Tearable World, I was part of a talented and award winning team that created an innovative gameplay experience. On Tearable World, I led the programming efforts, contributed on design and even made some of the art assets in my free time. See here for the trailer See here for a review of the game Once I completed the BS in Computer Science Game Design and a minor in Technology and Information Management, I moved up to Washington to work on Forza 5 as a vendor game tester at Microsoft. After leading the multiplayer manual test efforts on the Xbox One flagship title, I decided to challenge myself further by joining the HoloLens organization as a software test engineer. On HoloLens, my main role included ensuring high qualities of the operating system before internal and external partners adopted the update. Once the first version of HoloLens shipped, a door opened up to work on Minecraft as a vendor software developer engineer in test (SDET). Minecraft was a lot of fun to work on and I will always be grateful for the mentorship obtained by colleagues. These life changing experiences led me to my present adventures at Warner Brothers Discovery (formerly WarnerMedia & Home Box Office). I am currently blessed to lead and manage a team of talented software engineers who thrive in elevating the quality bar for our global consumer base. Feel free to send me a message to hear more. Kind Regards! John
