About John Crupi

With over 30 years of experience as a professional Captain, John’s knowledge and experience have guided expedition programs throughout the world, covering hundreds of thousands of miles, 70 countries and six continents. His expertise includes worldwide travel logistics, tandem mothership operations, large tender towing, refit/rebuild projects and he has consulted for marinas and ports. After 20 years of running one program under the same ownership, John has recently transitioned to a land-based consultancy role at Rubicon. He both represents and advises yacht owners on all aspects related to their vessel, including purchase decisions, rebuild/refit projects, and ongoing operations. After having completed some of the industry's most extreme cruising, he advises owners how to establish truly unique yachting programs with optimization and efficiency at the foundation. John has been an ongoing supporter of the International Seakeepers Society and has carried out countless disaster-relief projects with YachtAid Global. He conducts regular speaking engagements at yacht clubs and maritime industry events. He will be a speaker at the 2020 Explorer Yacht's Summit in Monaco.
