About John Cundiff

I have 28 years of practical experience in the Building Construction and Inspection industry. I am a licensed contractor in the 3 major trades: Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC. I am also an ICC certified Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, and Mechanical Inspector. I worked for the City of Lakewood Dept of Planning for 13 years where I performed over various inspections. I began my Home Inspection business in 1994 and have since performed over Home Inspections. In all, I've logged over inspections. I plan to grow my Home Inspection business as we climb out of this economy. I began teaching in 2002 and have found it to be quite rewarding. The discourse between myself and the professional students is usually of a high level, and often highly charged. I hope to expand the breadth of subject matter and create a growing number of self-driven life-long learners. Specialties: Teaching Building Method, Construction, and Failures as science. I believe I have a knack for getting my students to think beyond the obvious, disassembling preconceptions and exposing the "why it is", rather than simply "it is".
