John joined Sage in 2015 after moving from Texas where he managed the construction of over apartment units in the DFW area totaling over He has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry ranging from Single Family, Multi- Family, Hotel/Motel, and government related work for a number of jurisdictions across the Dallas Metroplex. He has acquired his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and has completed a variety of certifications in the construction field. Over nearly the last decade at Sage, John has been involved from management to production for over apartment and townhome units across Western Washington. John and his Purchasing Team are responsible for estimating new and potential projects in order to move forward on the ones that are appropriate for Sage. Create clean and understandable Budgets for Vertical Costs and General Conditions. Oversee the bidding process and data collection into the Sage Bidspread. Negotiate the best price for each scope of work while ensuring that the selected vendors are qualified and meet all requirements as it relates to insurance, experience, quality, cleanliness, and timeliness. Oversee budgets in coordination with Site Development, Project Management, Sales and Marketing, and the Finance Team. Lead, Teach, and Assist the Vertical Team always. Conduct Site Visits as needed to guarantee that our vendors are providing the professional and 100% warranted product and service we are paying for. Coordinate budget maintenance with Finance Staff for reliable job cost reporting and support for construction loan draws.
