Skilled in directing campus-wide educational technology resources, and leading highly diverse technical support team, that manages Canvas Learning Management System, faculty and staff training, instructional design, daily maintenance of classroom technology, video recording studio, and support of major events requiring video capture, editing and live streaming. I have successfully directed the Instructional Technologies at two Universities and served in the role as Assistant Professor in Health Informatics at Augusta University. Experienced in the following areas: •Develop a vision and strategy for an efficient and effective IT structure for the University. •Create and implement policies and procedures that increase productivity and promote a customer centric experience. •Invite interdepartmental innovation and collaboration to increase effectiveness and efficiency. •Collaborate across departments to improve cyber security readiness and customer security awareness. •Present the campus community with the educational resources needed to effectively use IT assets and empower all of IT to meet the pedagogical needs of the University. My work during the onslaught of COVID-19 demonstrates my ability to apply the best that today’s instructional technology has to offer from a more creative point of view. In my current role I have developed strategies for improving educational design and enhancing educational processes through available technological tools. I have over 31 years of experience with multiple technologies and varied instructional programs. I have 17 years’ experience as an educator and promoter of technology integration in the classroom. I have six years’ experience and as department chair, and program director. For the last nine years I have been developing the infrastructure to teach using the online hybrid model, and over the last year and a half this has proven to be a crucial resource for staff and faculty throughout the university. In my current role, I constantly evaluate updated educational processes and recommend improved methods and tools to enhance the online and in-class experience for students and faculty. I have proven that I can effectively transform an IT structure into a more efficient and effective unit.
