About John Davids

In August of 1982, having completed my degree in criminal justice at York College of Pennsylvania, I started my law enforcement career with the Baltimore City Police Department. I graduated from the Baltimore Police Academy, and was assigned to the Eastern District, where I served as a police officer in a very high crime area. Though challenging, my time there helped to develop a solid set of skills from which I could build foundation for my career as a law enforcement officer. In January of 1985, I started my federal career with the United States Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service. I’ve been fortunate in my career to have experienced a diverse and challenging array of assignments; from dignitary protection with the Secretary of State to criminal investigations. In addition, I’ve been an instructor in tactics, firearms, and various criminal investigation procedures. In my prior role, I conducted criminal and internal affairs investigations. I have retired from federal service and have recently been nationally certified as a Paramedic after graduating from The Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences. I am currently exploring employment opportunities for the next chapter of my life. I have included, as an attachment, my resume, as well as a list of my professional training certifications.
