About John Desimone

With over 30 years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity industry, John DeSimone is an advisor to and former Chief Executive Officer @Nightwing, a national security company that delivers cybersecurity and intelligence solutions for government agencies, commercial businesses and organizations. During his 7 year tenure at Nightwing, John grew the business double digits every year, more than doubling its size during his time with the company. He also drove a strong company culture, resulting in the highest historic employee retention rates across the business throughout 2024-2025. John DeSimone has a proven track record of driving innovation, operational excellence and customer satisfaction in his previous leadership roles at Raytheon, CSRA, CSC, IBM, Northrop Grumman and Motorola. His expertise includes leading organizations delivering tech-enabled solutions in the intelligence, data operations, and cybersecurity arenas. He has led the design and delivery of IT outsourcing, data center, cloud, cybersecurity, privacy, project management and application development services, as well as the global public safety software business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Columbia University and has attended Motorola's Chairman's Leadership Institute at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is passionate about advancing the state of the art in cybersecurity and intelligence, and empowering his team to achieve excellence and impact.
