This resulted in the qualifying of many soldiers as Mortarmen and Non Commissioned Officers moving up to become Alpha/Bravo Mortar Fire Controllers and Section Commanders. 2007 to 2019 Mortar Fire Controller. Several major training exercises and 2 tours of Afghanistan. As part of 8 to 80 man operations, I ensured accurate fire power was always available. When required, I ensured that targets were prosecuted rapidly, effectively and safely.
