My experience in internal communications builds upon a formal education in writing and past roles in customer service and employee experience. Whether I am helping a customer find the perfect gift for their child, crafting an executive level email, or working with a cross-functional team on a large project, I strive for engagement through sincerity and enthusiasm, while always looking for new ways to innovate. Connection and trust are my priorities whether I'm working with external customers or internal partners. Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen recently explained how he approaches each acting job as "the most important thing" he does. Rather than be ambitious with a single, important career goal that could lead to long-term disappointment if that goal is never achieved, he is instead ambitious with each job he takes on, ensuring professional satisfaction over the course of what ends up being a career of many important jobs. My philosophy at work is the same. When I start a new role, I'm not treating it as an inconsequential stepping-stone on the path to an ultimate goal, I'm treating it with the importance it deserves as the current display of my professional talents and my source of income. After all, how will I succeed at my next job if I can't excel at my current job? Having worked with both media production offices and software companies, as well as in situations requiring constant change management and the ability to fluidly adjust to new realities, I am adept at working under tight deadlines amidst shifting priorities. I am excited to face the challenges of adapting how we all work to a post COVID-19 world.
