About John Dirks

I am passionate about teaching students how to become engaged learners and happy health individuals. It is so rewarding to see students gather information, learn by experience and then formalize their learning in the world in which they live. These students are our future as they go forward leading intelligent, active healthy lifestyles and then teaching their children to do the same. As a former competitive bodybuilder my roots are in the gym. I still workout every day and model a lean healthy lifestyle as an example to lifelong fitness. I still love the competitive arena of bodybuilding and fitness and last competed in the 2016 Alberta Provincials and won 1st place in Master Men's Bodybuilding. I have my own company called Paramount Performance and I promote bodybuilding and fitness events. I have promoted for the Alberta Bodybuilding Association since I have also had the privilege to promote the Canadian Bodybuilding Federations Nationals in Edmonton Alberta in 2004, 2007, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017. Promoting for the ABBA and the CBBF was amazing being able to work with key sponsors and getting to know athletes from all across Canada. I have now switch my promotions to the Canadian Physique Alliance which allows athletes to compete in the IFBB Pro League stream which is the only competition stream that leads to the Arnold and Olympia!
