I have embarked on the adventure of a lifetime. I have started my own counselling business in Wagga Wagga. The name of my business is Hope and Resilience Counselling. I support clients to identify their strengths - strengths they may have used in the past to overcome crises. I support clients to build on those strengths, to be resilient and find hope. In July 2019, I completed a Master of Counseling at Monash University, Melbourne, which included 650 of Supervised Clinical Placement hours at Headspace, Liverpool, Sydney, and the NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Sufferers (STARTTS), Auburn and Fairfield, Sydney. I am a Level 2 Member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Since 2014 prior to commencing my Masters in 2018, I have been working as a support worker, client transition/engagement officer, client safety officer and caseworker in the not for profit community and social services sector. Specialist Interests: Advocacy and care for vulnerable and marginalised people; Social justice; Human rights; Aid and development; Fighting poverty in the 3rd world; Working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Peoples; Our First Nations People; Asylum seekers and refugees.
